W derbach Pomorza Zachodniego granatowo-bordowi dwukrotnie wychodzili na prowadzenie, ale w ostatnich sekundach gracze Bałtyku zdołali pozbawić ich cennego zwycięstwa. – Z gry zespołu jestem bardzo zadowolony. Funkcjonowaliśmy dokładnie tak, jak chcieliśmy. Tym bardziej czujemy niedosyt, bo mamy poczucie, że uciekły nam dzisiaj dwa punkty – mówi trener Paweł Ozga.
Granatowo-bordowi do sobotniego pojedynku przystępowali poważnie osłabieni. W kadrze meczowej zabrakło bowiem pauzującego za żółte kartki Dawida Rezaeiana oraz Arona Stasiaka, który wraz z pierwszym zespołem wyruszył do Częstochowy na ekstraklasowe starcie z Rakowem. W ich miejsce na placu gry od pierwszej minuty zameldowali się aktualni juniorzy starsi – Borys Freilich i Fabian Grzelka. – Fakt, że Aron znalazł się w kadrze I zespołu to dla nas wszystkich ogromna radość i powód do dumy. Jego droga była bardzo kręta, ale w końcu doprowadziła go do celu. To namacalny dowód dla reszty chłopaków, że dzięki ciężkiej pracy mogą trafić na szczyt – tłumaczy szkoleniowiec Pogoni.
Derbowy pojedynek od pierwszej minuty toczył się pod dyktando Portowców. Granatowo-bordowi długo utrzymywali się przy piłce, nie pozwalając koszalinianom na rozwinięcie skrzydeł. Po pół godziny gry dobra postawa przyniosła otwierające trafienie – po dośrodkowaniu Bartosza Ławy z rzutu wolnego w polu karnym najlepiej zachował się Fabian Grzelka i wyprowadził swój zespół na prowadzenie. – Jestem bardzo zadowolony z tego, jak wyglądaliśmy w pierwszej połowie. Graliśmy tak, jak chcieliśmy. Piłka praktycznie przez cały czas była w naszym posiadaniu. Nie stworzyliśmy sobie może wielu sytuacji, ale całkowicie kontrolowaliśmy wydarzenia na boisku – opowiada Ozga.
W końcówce pierwszej połowy sytuacja na chwilę wymknęła się jednak spod kontroli Portowców. Po szybkim kontrataku piłka trafiła pod nogi Sebastiana Gintera, który zszedł z prawego skrzydła i precyzyjnym strzałem w kierunku dalszego słupka doprowadził do wyrównania. Radość gospodarzy z korzystnego rezultatu nie trwała jednak długo – tuż przed zejściem do szatni błąd bramkarza Bałtyku wykorzystał bowiem Błażej Starzycki, ponownie wyprowadzając szczecinian na prowadzenie.
W drugiej odsłonie obraz gry nie uległ zmianie. Wciąż stroną przeważającą byli zawodnicy Dumy Pomorza, ale nie potrafili potwierdzić swojej dominacji i powiększyć przewagi nad rywalem. Gospodarze natomiast czyhali na błąd Portowców i w doliczonym czasie gry zadali decydujący cios. Bohaterem Bałtyku został Michał Czenko, który najpierw poradził sobie z trzema defensorami Pogoni, a następnie pokonał Dariusza Krzysztofka, ratując koszalinianom cenny punkt. – Czujemy olbrzymi niedosyt, bo zasłużyliśmy na zwycięstwo. Zabrakło nam trzeciej bramki, która pozwoliłaby zamknąć ten mecz. Mamy poczucie, że uciekły nam dzisiaj dwa punkty – podsumowuje trener Ozga.
