Nie chodziło o wyniki i zdobywanie pucharów, bo takich nie ma. Z perspektywy szkoleniowej to świetne doświadczenie. Zagraliśmy międzynarodowe pojedynki o stawkę z zespołami, z którymi pewnie trudno byłoby się nam umówić nawet na sparing. Czekamy na to, co będzie dalej, ale liczymy, że nie zapomną o nas w kolejnych edycjach – mówił zimą Maksymilian Rogalski.
Organizatorzy turnieju faktycznie o Pogoni nie zapomnieli. W rundzie jesiennej zawodników rezerw Dumy Pomorza czekają więc kolejne międzynarodowe pojedynki. Na inaugurację rywalem Portowców będzie dziesięciokrotny mistrz Danii – Brøndby Kopenhaga. – Bardzo cenię sobie duńskie szkolenie. Spodziewam się szybkiego, atrakcyjnego meczu, obfitującego w sytuacje bramkowe. Z doświadczenia wiem, że Duńczycy grają ofensywną piłkę, są dobrze wyszkoleni technicznie, ale też nie zapominają o organizacji w defensywie – mówi trener Cretti.
Portowcy do międzynarodowego pojedynku przystąpią w nieco przemeblowanym zestawieniu. Ze względu na natłok meczów ligowych swoje szanse otrzymają zawodnicy, którzy dotąd występowali w mniejszym wymiarze czasowym. Szkoleniowiec Dumy Pomorza będzie mógł również skorzystać z czterech graczy I zespołu oraz dwóch zawodników testowanych.
– Na pewno dokonamy rotacji w składzie. Nie będzie jednak tak, że wiodący chłopacy znajdą się poza kadrą. Dla nas to prestiżowe spotkanie, które traktujemy jak starcie w europejskich pucharach. Chcemy pokazać się z dobrej strony, przedstawić swoją filozofię szkolenia i potwierdzić, że kroczymy w dobrym kierunku – mówi trener Cretti. – Jestem bardzo ciekawy, jak nasi chłopacy zaprezentują się na tle czołowego, duńskiego zespołu. Na pewno dla nas będzie to cenne doświadczenie, które przyniesie wiele nowych obserwacji i wniosków na przyszłość. Na tle Brøndby będziemy mogli zobaczyć rzeczy, których nie widać w meczach trzecioligowych – podsumowuje.
